In Part Four of our
workshop we will discuss
traditional spectrum and
time waveform analysis
and how it can be best
applied to detecting
bearing faults and
assessing the severity
and life expectancy of
the bearing. We will
review the forcing
frequency calculations
and explain why we see
the harmonics, sidebands
and a raised noise floor
when a fault
develops. We will also
explain the changes to
the vibration patterns
as the bearing goes from
Stage Three to Four.
