  • MOC is a lot more than that - it is a control that ensures that risks, hazards etc are taken into consideration and may involve running at a lower temp. pressure etc to mitigate a change. It is the mechanism that plant's use to ensure control of anything other than 'normal operating conditions" including when we replace equipment etc with 'Not Like'

  • Simply we say it is the part of our process safety management programme. The propose of MOC is to propose and implement any modification in the existing plant operation through review with all interfaces / stack holders.

  • it is common for some to confuse these two subjects, "change management" and "management of change" - which are really different topics.
