Vacuum Dehydration vs Traditional Water Removal Techniques
Traditional techniques for water removal, such as settling tanks or coalescing, depend on good demulsibility characteristics to work properly. Vacuum dehydration, on the other hand, will function properly regardless of the oil type. This is because vacuum systems vaporize the water, which does not depend on any oil characteristics. A vacuum system will remove water from any oil; brand new or old, good or poor quality, Group I or Group II. This is increasing the demand for vacuum dehydrators to maintain industrial lubricating systems.
